1885 - Offered is an AUTOGRAPH NOTE SIGNED (ANS) BY HARRIET BEECHER STOWE and framed with a photograph of Stowe. The ANS and photograph are in a museum quality frame with engraved biographical plate. ANS reads "Trust in the Lord and do good/Yours Truely/Harriet Beecher Stowe/49 Forest St Hartford Con/January 29 1885." Harriet Beecher Stowe (1811-1896) was devoted to the anti-slavery cause and author of "Uncle Tom's Cabin." In 1862 while visiting President Lincoln at the White House he remarked "So this is the little lady who made this big war." [Attributes: Signed Copy]
