The British Moss-Flora (Complete, 3 volumes)
Published by the Author, London 1887 - Half leather, mixed bindings: two in black leather and mottled brown boards but volume III in brown leather and older brown boards. All edges gilt; I suspect this set (ex-library, with book plate, and occasional stamps to reverse of plates) belonged together but that the first two volumes have been re-bound. Published over an 18 year period, from 1887 to 1905. Pictorial book plate (raven, thistle, ?weasel?) is printed for Natural History Society, Glasgow but later stamps of Glasgow and Andersonian Natural History and Microscopical Society and Glasgow Natural History Society. Condition: A little spotting internally to Volume I, the title page of which is detached, with the following dedicatory page. Leather of all three volumes rubbed. Heavy book; extra postage is likely to be needed. [Attributes: First Edition; Hard Cover]
