Folio, approximately 395 x 300 mm, 15½ x 12 inches, 56 plates, 5 in colour, 9 large folding plates, pages: xvi, 1 - 279, no supplement present, published a year later, original publisher's green cloth, gilt lettering to spine, gilt Chinese letters to upper cover. Binding rubbed, small pale stain to head and tail of spine, covers and spine slightly darkened, slight shelf wear to edges, 3 large folding plates have fold neatly strengthened on blank side, a few folds have narrow strip of pale browning on the blank side, 1 large folding plate has small narrow strip of pale stain to bottom margin, nowhere near the image, otherwise a good copy in probably a made up dustjacket using remains of original jacket.
