The memoirs of the Swedish feminist writer Fredrika Bremer on her trip to the United States. With material on the homes of Illinois, as well as travels through the South and the Midwest. A very good minus set, attractively preserved in the publisher's original cloth binding. Hinges starting on Vols. I and III, "Mason's Library" written on front pastedown of first volume, marks in ink to endpapers of second volume. Contents fine with no notable foxing.
