From Earth to Moon and a Trip Round It: Direct in 97 Hours 10 Minutes (From the Earth to the Moon)
Sampson Low, Marston, London - A 1920s reprint in red cloth, with spine decoration of a tree and a naval battle on the front. Luckily it has the dj which actually depicts a scene from the book; excited gentlemen, one with a hook for a hand, watching a rocket being launched from a gigantic cannon. The book is vg-; covers are clean, there is a bookplate on the front pastedown (a reward for perfect attendance), foxing on the edges, minimal foxing on outer pages. This book has only the frontispiece illustration and 183 pp., followed by 20 pp. of puff pieces for authors (including Verne), then 2 blank pp. and a 32-p. publisher's catalog. The dj is fair, having a large piece of the front panel missing at the upper right. Worn at spine ends, soiled on rear. Has price of 2/6 on front flap. [Attributes: Hard Cover]
