Poems by Hernia Whittlebot With an appreciation by Nöel [sic] Coward
No publisher, no date [1923]., 1958. First Edition (never reprinted). 4to. 29pp. Card wrappers, very lightly tanned and spotted. Staples rusting. Tipped-in to the first leaf is the mock errata slip ("In 'A May Morning' read 'Colwyn Bay' for 'Plymouth Sound'"). Production fault crease to several text leaves. A very crisp and bright copy of Coward's scarce pastiche of Edith Sitwell (she was unimpressed, yet he still published a follow-up, 'Chelsea Buns', two years later). Each appearance of Coward's first name has the diaeresis misplaced, presumably an intentional error. Neat former owner gift inscription inked to head of first leaf.. 1st Edition. Soft cover. Very Good.
