Geneva, Illinois: Riverbank Laboratories, 1918. Staplebound wraps. Near Fine. Signed by William F. Friedman. Limited numbered edition. "Two hundred copies of this publication were printed of which this is No. 57." Staplebound letter size with cardstock wrapper, 24 pp. In excellent condition for its age. Some browning to covers and paper edges. This copy belonged to William S. Hart Jr. (1922-2004), the son of silent film stars William S. Hart, Sr. and Winifred Westover Hart. During World War II, he served as a cryptographer for the Office of Strategic Services (OSS). On the title page, the copyright is listed to George Fabyan. Beneath that is a stamp stating "Bequest of Mrs. Nelle Fabyan" and a date.
