La Divine comédie
First draw illustrations of Salvador Dali in 4765 published copies, ours, one of the numbered copies on vellum cloth pure shores. The book is illustrated with 100 original compositions by Salvador Dali woodcut in colors by Raymond Jacquet. Back holsters slightly insolated. In 1950, at the request of the Libreria dello Stato in Rome, Salvador Dali job takes one hundred watercolors corresponding to one hundred songs of Dante's Divine Comedy. In 1951, some of the watercolors is on display in Rome. While the work of Dali continues, the Italian government finally decided that the work of Dante should be illustrated by an Italian painter. The contract between the Libreria dello Stato and Salvador Dali is broken and the painter becomes the owner of his work. In July 1959 Les Heures Claires buy exclusivity and all copyrights, all engraved and printed under the direction of John Dais. Nice copy of this masterful achievement.
