Morang and Company, Toronto - 1925, De Luxe Edition, number 159 of 500 copies signed by King. () Very good. [8], 139pp. Large octavo. Red leather covered boards with gilt lettering on spine and front cover, as well as a small gilt illustration of King on front cover. Stamped border along edges of front and back boards. Boards lightly worn, especially at edges and spine. Pinkish mottled endpapers lightly discoloured at edges. Long outer edge of text block untrimmed. Clean, tight text block with only some mild discolouration to some edges of the pages. Double signed presentation copy. Book is signed on the limitation page in black ink by MacKenzie King. There is also an inscription on the first page (after the endpaper) that reads "To Sir Campbell Stuart, from his friend MacKenzie King, with all good wishes, Laurier House, Ontario Canada, Christmas 1925". This book was presented to Sir Campbell Stuart by MacKenzie King during King's first term in office as Canada's 10th Prime Minister. The location of the presenting, Laurier House, is the house where King lived from 1923 till his death in 1950. Pasted down to the front attached endpaper is also a book plate from Sir Campbell Stuart, G.C.M.G. K.B.E. Sir Campbell Stuart was a Canadian Newspaper manager who ran propaganda operations for the British during both world wars. He was appointed Knight Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire in 1918 and Knight Grand Cross of the Order of ST Michael and ST George in 1939.
