The Copp, Clark Co., Limited, Toronto, Canada 1910 - scarce first Canadian edition; dark blue publisher's cloth; lettering in black on spine; pictorial paper label in colour on front cover; lettering in red and green on front cover; except for the publisher's imprint on spine "The Copp Clark Co. and the Copp, Clark imprint at the bottom of the title page, this issue is identical with the American first edition and first state; all 16 full colour plates including the frontispiece are collated and present and in excellent condition; illustrated by John R. Neill; 296 pp; the publisher's advertisement on the verso of the ownership page lists 5 Oz titles with the first being The Road To Oz and the 5th being John Dough And The Cherub; pictorial end-papers in black and orange; modest shelfwear/rubbing at extremities and wear at tail of spine; binding is square and tight; the lettering in black on the spine, as usual, does not show up well against the rarer dark blue cloth but the silver vignette of the hare on the spine does.
