DVD of work in progress laid in pocket on front pastedown. Some prints signed, dated, and numbered. Red Trillium Press: "In 2010 twelve self-taught Cuban artists created a collective Proyecto Taller and published their first book Sexualidad. After the literal collapse of their studio in the fall of 2011 three members formed a new collective in 2012: Proyecto Locatarsis. "Orbitá is their first publication. It is an amazing first book given what I know about their work environment — or lack of one. Orbital ?'s images rotate on the page, windows open to new views, and the bi-lingual text is hand cut from linoleum." Colophon: "This book Orbital describes, put forth and reaffirms a course ebbing and flowing, and tackling new and old direction. Searching through images and as an inevitable need the Cubanidad [the essence of being Cuban] and the various circumstances of an identify which doesn't stop changing and mixing, folding back and blossoming forth and which solidified, but that doesn't check its progress, or runs out, or loses the essence which makes it meaningful. All the time as a process of unstoppable dynamic. "The circular structure of the book and its representational content is a sense of unstoppable process. Deals with the formation of a concept which becomes its center: the Cubanidad and all its surrounding elements. "Cubanidad is a condition of the soul is a host of feelings, ideas and attitudes. And yet there is a Cubanidad more complete, it could be said that it comes out of the home land core and embraces us and penetrates like the vapour of creation that sprouts from our motherland after being fertilized by the rain sent down by the father sun. "Something that sweetens us with the love of our breezes and snatches us in the vortex of our hurricanes. Something that attracts us and woos us like the female it is. For us: mother, wife and daughter the mistery of the Cuban trinity, from whom we were born and to whom we deliver ourselves, whom we possess and through which we must survive - the human factors of the Cubanidad.
