Woodcuts Held at the University Printing House. 1976 - 1977.
- 2 volumes, 197 x 255mm and 205 x 272mm, original green paper wrappers lettered in black on upper covers. No text, pp.135 and 93 of woodcuts, many with several to one page. Wrappers a little faded and spotted, internally clean. A collection of images of woodcuts held by the Cambridge University Press, presumably used as a reference volume. The cuts are wide ranging in subject, with some duplications. They appear to be printed either from the original blocks or from electrotypes. The second volume has a large number of woodcuts of Cambridge buildings. There are no captions to the woodcuts but some are initialled or signed in the blocks allowing identification. Engravers include Reynolds Stone, Robert Gibbings, Cecil Keeling, Gwen Raverat, Eric Gill, George Mackley, and Mary Byfield A fascinating collection of highly accomplished woodcuts, worthy of further research. [Attributes: Signed Copy; Soft Cover]
