London: James Boler, 1630. First Edition. Hardcover (rebound in leather). Very Good Condition. First collected edition. Lacking the extra engraved title (though with the initial blank present) and rebound in full modern calf with 5 raised bands and a red morocco spine label. Minor but persistent dampstain in the lower right corner, a more pronounced dampstain in the last third of the volume. Trimmed a bit close on the front edge, touching a few of the engravings, one or two pen marks and manuscript repairs to text, a few minor paper repairs at the edges, occasional staining. Lovely engravings depicting the English kings from Brute to Charles. Engraved title bound in facsimile; [12], 148, [2], 93, 92-200, 225-343, [1], 14, 13-146 p (lacking the final blank). Size: Folio.
