James Boler, London 1630 - First collected edition. Lacking the extra engraved title (though with the initial blank present) and rebound in full modern calf with 5 raised bands and a red morocco spine label. Minor but persistent dampstain in the lower right corner, a more pronounced dampstain in the last third of the volume. Trimmed a bit close on the front edge, touching a few of the engravings, one or two pen marks and manuscript repairs to text, a few minor paper repairs at the edges, occasional staining. Lovely engravings depicting the English kings from Brute to Charles. Engraved title bound in facsimile; [12], 148, [2], 93, 92-200, 225-343, [1], 14, 13-146 p (lacking the final blank). Size: Folio.
