Kelson 1901 - Rare. An excellent copy in very good+ condition. The very handsome, near fine, original dark-red cloth binding has gilt titles and a gilt gentleman angler on the front panel and is still in exceptionally bright condition. The text, too, is VG+, tight and clean, with just light age-browning of the half title and blank end papers, but hardly a speckle elsewhere. Two tiny, barely noticeable margin repairs to title and contents list. You'd struggle to find a better copy than this. Photos available on request. Pages X1, 168 adverts. Chapter heads are: The Rod to select, the Fly to use, methods of casting, riverside hints, wading, knots and modern improvements. Some excellent, illustrated adverts for companies such as Burberry's (showing 2 very smartly kitted anglers), The London Shoe Co, William Garden Salmon flies etc etc. Well illustrated text. Also bound in on pink paper are 2 adverts for Kelson's previous book - The Salmon Fly - "Only a few copies left!". May require extra postage for insurance. [Attributes: Hard Cover]
