Nineteen Stories.
London, Heinemann. 1947 First Edition, GREENE FAMILY COPY, INSCRIBED. 8vo. 231pp. Publisher's dark blue cloth, clean and bright, slightly bumped to spine ends. Dusty top edge, some slight toning of the endpapers due to the cheap paper stock. Dustwrapper strong and bright, darkening to spine and fraying to head and tail of spine panel. A very nice copy, made all the more notable due to the presentation inscriptions to a relative, to flyleaf, firstly by Hugh Greene; 'A. from H. with love /(A.B. Greene/ Oak Cottage/ Plumpton / Sussex,'with additional inscription from the author ' from Graham' (underlined).
