An explanatioin of the Jean Berte process of water color printing. describing the application of water color to paper in the regular printing process. Six separate sections loosely inserted with beautiful examples of color printing in each section demonstrating the process. With xerox copy of the explanation of the process laid in. Jean Berte (1993-1981) was a French printer who emigrated to the United States and received a patent for his process in 1926. The process was similar to Japanese woodblock printing with a separate plate cut for each color (Princeton University Graphic Arts Department website).
