Spine rolled, head of spine frayed, minor stain to top margin throughout. An excellent copy in the jacket with faded spine, nicks and chips to extremities, short closed tear to fold of front flap. With photographs by Edwin Rosskam. First edition, first printing. Combines Wright's text with photographs selected by Rosskam from the Farm Security Administration photography program (1935-1944). With a photocard laid in from the studio of Charles S. Rawson, 508 Fulton St., near Bond, Brooklyn, c. 1890s.
