Anne of Avonlea
Boston: L. C. Page & Co 1909 - viii, 367 pp. + adverts. Octavo. Tan cloth. Untrimmed. Frontispiece with tissue guard. Spine darkened, but retains gilt lettering. Board edges worn and corners bumped. The pictorial illustration on the front board has only some minor wear to the edges and is in fantastic shape. Owner's signature. Some light thumbing and stains. There is a bit of a wave to the text block and an angle to the spine. This is a lovely copy of Montgomery's second “Anne” book, introducing characters dear to this cataloguer's heart such as Paul and his Rock People, and the enigmatic Miss Lavendar. (Lechowick, 31) [Attributes: First Edition; Hard Cover]
