Out of Africa
Random House, New York 1938 - The book is kept from being fine by a light bump at the upper, front corner of the spine, the dust jacket is kept from being fine by a half dozen very small chips and one small (0.25") on the spine and very minor edge wear. Other than these flaws, this stated first edition is clean, tight, square with sharp corners and unmarked. It has a one-quarter binding with black cloth and very bright gold designs and titles on the spine. The boards are covered with rust colored cloth with a gold flamingo (slightly age darkened) on the front. The dust jacket, now in Brodart, has only very minor age darkening. The 389 pages (at least one unopened) are bright, clean and clear. All in all a very nice copy. [Attributes: First Edition; Hard Cover]
