From the personal library of Canadian literary giant, Robertson Davies, with his heraldic bookplate on the pastedowns. 31 cm x 19 cms., quarter leather and patterned paper boards bound by Sangorski & Sutcliffe with their S&S stamp at lower edge of front pastedowns, top edges gilt, others untrimmed. Vol. I 152 pp., loosely inserted is a clipping of "The Times" June 19/73, regarding the Sale of Canterbury Tales.; Vol. II 190 pp.; Vol. III 198 pp., Vol. IV 219 pp. Please note the slightly darker colour of the leather of vol. 4, otherwise a near fine, clean copy..
