ΒΆ A 17-page treatise on the periods of life, or climacterical years, and how the human adapts to the changes, which Wright treats from philosophical, astrological and scientific perspectives. A Succinct Philosophicall Declaration, as Wright notes, was written as an amendment to his work The Passions of the Minde (1601) and was included with later editions of that work. Thomas Wright (1561-1623) was a priest who wrote on the nature of the human being and his work is often included in collections of science and medicine. This copy is from the library of Haskell Norman, with his bookplate on the front paste-down. Prior to that it was in the Huntington Library and has the HEH small duplicate withdrawn stamp on the rear paste-down. Huntington or his agent purchased this in the Britwell Sale, April 1, 1924, lot 851.
