"Nymphe se Peignant"
1938 (1)ff. From a planned edition of thirty copies, Christopher Buckland Wright records that only six prints were actually pulled from the block. Signed, titled, and numbered by the artist, John Buckland Wright. An original wood engraving of a nude sitting with her legs drawn up, combing her hair. The composition of her body fills the entire space, and stars are visible in one corner. A second state of this design was used for the invitations to John Buckland Wright's exhibition at Dietrich & Cie in 1938. Print measures 2 1/4 by 2 inches. Fine, in a mat measuring 15 3/4 by 11 inches.
