(1) Bronze medal stamped with the seal of the city of Philadelphia and the words "Awarded by the city of Philadelphia." In leather case with brass clasp, upper cover with "John Scott medal. J. Presper Eckert, Jr." tooled in gilt. (2) The city of Philadelphia, trustee under the will of John Schott of Edinburgh . . . has awarded the John Scott medal and premium to J. Presper Eckert, Jr., B.S.E.E., M.S.E.E. for the invention of the first large scale electronic computer. Philadelphia, June 16, 1961. Signed by Samuel H. Daroff and G. Curtis Pritchard, president and secretary, respectively, of the Board of Directors of City Trusts.
