Spine has no title, a little worn at edges. Internally, NO inscriptions, front hinge strengthened, new ffep. Title page with woodcuts, and 30 pp of B&W plates some showing multiple trees, some just 1 tree per page, all in order that the reader can learn how to draw trees. To the rear there is an advert for Joseph, Myers and Co showing other Hermes Drawing Lessons and other drawing books. Some of the plates have details in English and German. Just the lightest of foxing. No dated or paginated. Circa 1850/60. Not listed at COPAC, Worldcat, no copy at auction for over 30 years. Uncommon! [Attributes: First Edition; Hard Cover]
