The Sin Or Evils Of Integration RACIST SEGREGATION CIVIL RIGHTS JIM CROW Interest
Carlton Press, New York 1962 - (Religion) (Civil Rights) DAILEY, Reverend Louis E. The Sin Or Evils Of Integration. Undisguised attack upon the current movement to integrate the schools and public facilities of the United States. Echoing the account of Creation in Genesis 1:21-31 and the Covenant with Noah in chapter nine, Rev. Dailey identifies as God's First Commandment the injunction to creation 'To multiply and replenish the earth after his kind,' and blisteringly attacks the integrationists who would violate this commandment by unlimited mixing of the races. Although there is danger, says the author, in classroom, bus, and lunch-counter integration, the greatest fear is that future generations will weaken the racial strains of both white and Negro through intermarriage. Racial pride, says Rev. Dailey, often attacked as bigotry, is really a form of racial 'patriotism' which should be cultivated by all men, regardless of race. 'Those who have race pride think the race of which they are members has, on the whole, gifts and traits superior to those of other races. They have a passionate desire to keep the bloodstream of their race pure and free from contamination by other races.' Book is representative of the views of many Americans as well as the view of religion in certain areas of the country. Hardcover with dust jacket. First Edition/Printing. Duodecimo.
