Cooke, London 1770 - Undated but c1770 comprising: Single F & REP's, plus frontis, plus title page, plus George III and 2nd Preface vi pp, plus 792pp plus Postscript 4pp and List of Subscribers 4pp. Original brown suede leather 7mm thick boards with decorative stamped designs to both covers and cover edges. Corners unbumped with light wear at the front and heavier wear-through to rear. Five-banded spine with tipped-in red leather title block ("Fleetwood's History of the Bible"), worn to extremities with max loss 15mm. Joints split 14mm at front top, 43mm at front tail (with remnants of a tape repair) and 15mm to rear tail. Single worm hole above title block. The name "James" is written upside down to the FEP o/w clean and unmarked. Worm hole extending from inside front cover to p90. Internally complete, firmly bound with all copper plates present and in good order. [Attributes: Soft Cover]
