John Nutt, UK 1704 - 3rd Edition 1704. Printed in the same year as the 1st edition and in the same format but with textual corrections. Text consists of title page, Dedication, The Bookseller to the Reader, the Epistle Dedicatory to His Royal Highness Prince Posterity, the Preface, 'A Tale of a Tub' pp. 33-221, 'A Full and True Account of the Battel Fought Last Friday, between the Antient and the Modern Books in St. James's Library' pp. 223-278, and 'A Discourse Concerning the Mechanical Operation of the Spirit. In a Letter to a Friend. A Fragment' pp. 279-322. This is the last original page, followed by the binder's buff endpapers. Very un-common. Book is good++ and quite bright. Edges and board surface lightly rubbed but heavy in places. Hinges cracked and rubbed but holding well. Contents generally good with marking/foxing to pages. Light staining to rear pages.
