Illustrated with 40 large (4.25 x 5.75") albumen prints of coins from different Roman periods depicting profiles of Roman Emperors, Empresses and Caesars. With text notes about the coins and the persons represented. A fine example of the early use of extreme photographic enlargement. Age wear and abrasions to binding. Foxing and spotting to margins of some of the pages. Pages rippled (bowed). Overall good+ condition with tight text block. One of one hundred copies published. Rare. [Attributes: Hard Cover]
