Heavy Industry Publications, Hollywood, California 1969 - First edition. Soft cover. Brown flexible wrappers, with title printed in scarlet on cover and spine of white glassine dust jacket. Photographs by Ed Ruscha, Ken Price, and Joe Goode illustrating Mason Williams' 1967 short story "How to Derive the Maximum Enjoyment from Crackers" (the text of the story is printed on the back dust jacket flap). Includes the following cast of characters appearing in the photographs: Man -- Larry Bell; Woman -- Léon Bing; Bellhop -- Rudi Gernreich; Chauffeur -- Tommy Smothers. Unpaginated, with 115 black and white plates. 8-3/4 x 5-5/8 inches. This first and only edition was limited to 5000 copies. CONDITION: Near Fine (small bump at the heel of the spine, else Fine) in Near Fine dust jacket (light soiling and two 3/8-inch closed tears at crown of spine).
