Andre et Pierre Gonin, Lausanne 1966 - 170 pages. 21 x 25 cm. Thirty full-page original lithographs in two colors, some are double-paged, with an extra suite of lithographs in red, all images signed in pencil by Erni, plus two blind-stamped paper wrappers. Limited edition, copy 26 of 45 on Japon Nacre (from a total edition of 449) signed by Erni and A & P. Gonin. Erni, Swiss born was strongly influenced by the works of Braque and Picasso. In October of 1933 he joined the Abstraction-Creation group to counteract the influence of the Surrealists led by Andre Breton. Some members of the group other than Erni, were Mondrian, Arp, Kandinsky, and Mary Cassatt. Fresh, very bright, clean copy. Orig. quarter vellum lettered in gilt and mustard boards. Fine in near fine vellum edged, gray slipcase with a few nicks. [Attributes: First Edition; Signed Copy; Soft Cover]
