Robert Sayer, [circa 1768]., London: - Printed for and sold by Robert Sayer, first edition thus. An early reprint with the same collation as Harris 864. Illustrated with 60 copper engravings. Architect Henry McCleary's copy, which was gifted to the artist, sculptor, painter and architect Joseph Urner by the McCleary family in 1927. A gift inscription on the front pastedown elucidates the family lineage. Beautifully rebound by Dragonfly Bindery in marbled boards with gilt tooled spine and raised spine bands, preserving the original gilt-lettered spine label and the endpapers (with gift inscription). Moderate foxing to textual pages but illustrated plates are only lightly foxed. [Attributes: Hard Cover]
