Vol. IV: [xviii], 1270pp, viii, xv, vii, xxx, iv pp. Vol. V: [xviii], 954pp, lxiv, lvi, xxxiv, xvi, lxxxviii, cxxx, vii, xi, xvi, iv pp. Vol. VI: [xviii], 1010pp, cxlviii, lxxii, lxxxiv, xxxii pp. Three volumes of the Irish Quarterly Review, comprising Numbers XIII-XVI, XVII-XX and XXI-XXIV. Each volume contains extensive appendixes, largely comprised of correspondence and information on prisons and reformatories; other articles address various aspects of literature and society in mid-19th century Ireland. Large half-leather hardbacks with marbled boards and edges, ridges and gilt titles to spines. Overall these are in very good condition. Previous owner's bookplates to front pastedowns with some browning to FFEPs from contact with these, browning to corners of endpapers from contact with leather, endpapers a bit foxed and top edges a little sunned. Light wear to corners; outer front hinges of Vols. IV and V starting. Bindings good and secure.
