The Selznick Studio, Los Angeles 1957 - Final script for the 1957 film. A presentation copy belonging to costume designer Veniero Colsanti. INSCRIBED to Colsanti by the film's producer, David O. Selznick on the front endpaper: "For Veniero Colsanti / With my thanks for his superb work / David O. Selznick / 1957." The decorative Colsanti-Moore bookplate is on the front pastedown (representing Colsanti's long working relationship with set decorator John Moore). The epic film adaptation of Hemingway's great novel was written for the screen by Ben Hecht. Brown calf with gilt titles and rule, with Veniero Colsanti's name in gilt on the front board. Title page present, with a credit for screenwriter Hecht. 173 leaves, mimeograph. Pages Fine, binding Near Fine. [Attributes: Signed Copy; Hard Cover]
