Meacham gives the Modoc side of the controversy." [Sloan]. ABPC shows the title last at auction in 1997, with only one prior occurence (1991). Spine cloth darkend & worn, with front joint cloth splitting top 1.5". Two bookplates to front paste-down. Faint tide-line in lower margin of first few leaves. A few pages with po underlining. An About VG copy of a rare book on the subject.
