Doubleday and Doran, New York 1929 - The first American edition, published by Doubleday Doran in 1929. Bound in publisher's black cloth, lettered and decorated in yellow. First edition ( stated ). A near fine copy of the book with a faint fingertip sized spot to the front board and very and a very light trace of toning to the endsheets. Dust jacket near fine with light rubbing to the edges and folds, three chips to the jacket ( one to the lower front corner, one to the upper rear corner, and a very shallow chip to the top of the spine .)
