Fo - 33 x 20 cm.; xii - 454 pp. From a laid-in sheet: "In December 1944 the Council of Ministers of the Polish Government in London summoned a Special Commission for investigating the problem of the 15,000 Polish prisoners of war missing in the USSR. This Commission set about collecting all accessible materials and documents. On the basis of the material in hand a group of experts has drawn up the temporary Report . . . . which is a presentation of the facts and documents provided with a short conclusion." This is a copy of that temporary report which does state "For Private Circulation only". Typewritten mimeographed sheets bound into plain cardboard covers with a cloth tape spine on which is handwritten the report's title. There is a table of contents, photos,diagrams, sketches, maps. Cover lightly soiled as is text block edge, some foxing to text. .
