Tissue guards. Additional printed wraparound sheet with title, text, and justification. Original aquatint wrappers; small scratch to upper side. Printed acetate dust-jacket. Perspex presentation box. Wooden shipping box; lightly worn, title and edition number written on one edge, additional writing to lower side. A fine copy. First edition, one of 95 copies published by Walter and Elenora Rossini. Victor Pasmore was an influential British abstract artist, 'one of the leading abstract painters of our time. His early work typifies the quiet realism of the Euston Road School which he helped found in 1937. However, in the late forties he embraced abstract art and became a seminal influence on its teaching.' The ten etchings and aquatints here illustrate a poem by the artist.
