A Family of New South Wales.
London: John Stockdale, 1792. Engraving, 245 x 190 mm. A fascinating depiction of four members of an Australian family from around Port Jackson, showing them returning from a successful fishing trip. The plate is taken from John Hunter's {i Historical Journal of the Transactions at Port Jackson and Norfolk Island} (1793), and is a particularly notable collaboration, being based on an original sketch by Philip Gidley King, and engraved for publication by William Blake (see Bernard Smith, {i European Vision and South Pacific}, pp. 173-4).
