Bound in leather and marbled paper-covered boards, with gilt lettering. Complete in twenty-one volumes. Twenty-One Volumes bound in Eleven. With an armorial nameplate for Samuel Edward Widdrington. A New Edition. Revised, Corrected, and Considerably Augmented. Samuel Edward Widdrington (formerly Cook), 1787 - 1856, was an English writer on Spain. Having served in the Royal Navy he lived for some years in Spain. He served as High Sheriff of Northumberland in 1854. He was a fellow of the Royal Society, and the Royal Geographical Society. Condition: The bindings are tight and firm. There is mild wear to the extremities, including mild rubbing and edge wear, with fading to the spines. Internally the pages are bright with scattered foxing. Overall the condition is very good. [Attributes: Hard Cover]
