The Name of the Rose (SIGNED)
Secker and Warburg 1983 - A First UK printing published by Secker and Warburg in 1983.The BOOK is in near FINE condition without any inscriptions or marks apart from some mild foxing spots and dustiness to the text block. There is very mild pushing of the spine ends which is to be expected for such a heavy book. The WRAPPER is complete and is in VERY GOOD++ or better condition. It is not price clipped bearing the correct price £8.95.There is the slightest of fading of the red lettering on the spine. The corners are slightly rubbed but the flaps are clean with minor creasing to the upper rear flap. There are some small closed tears to the front and rear wrapper and also some minor edge-wear and occasional creasing. This wrapper is notoriously fragile and the medieval jacket design looks stunning in the removable Brodart protector. The book has been SIGNED boldly by UMBERTO ECO to the title page. All in all,an excellent copy and very scarce with such attributes.SIGNED copies of this title are increasingly rare and likely to remain so.Due to the size and weight of this book, extra postage costs will be required. ashtonrarebooks welcomes direct contact.
