First work: One of two editions from the year of the first. From 1727 to 1784 the French ports had enjoyed a monopoly of the West Indian trade. The "Arrêt du Conseil d'État" of August 30, 1784, established duty free ports in Guadeloupe, Tobago, Martinique, Sainte Lucie and Santo Domingo, and provoked protests of merchants in French ports. Dubucq and Dubuisson defend the Arrêt. INED 1485, Einaudi 1629, Kress B 851. Second work: One of several editions in the year of the first.
