Curtis, London 1793 - Title-page, preface leaf, index leaf, 63 fine hand-coloured copper-engraved plates, each with a leaf of text opposite, printed mostly single-sided; contemporary full-calf, worn, upper joint broken (held by a couple of strings), wear to top of spine and edges, front inner joint holding, rear inner joint sound; with original marbled endpapers; lacks text page to last plate; some light browning to contents in places, particularly affecting about a dozen plates, last plate affected by damp at some stage, one plate childishly coloured over, stain to one text page affecting verso of plate and a few marginal tears, otherwise a good copy with the majority of plates in good order. This is the 1793 re-issue of the original first volume, with plates 39-63 of the second volume as well. [Attributes: Hard Cover]
