1954 1954 - Archive of 58 signed letters and cards, 20 of which are hand-written, to the British journalist George Hutchinson, who was the Conservative Party Chief Publicity Officer and who wrote biographies for Harold Macmillan and Edward Heath. 1954-1980. All are SIGNED and are typed unless noted, the collection includes: a signed letter and two signed Christmas cards from Margaret Thatcher; 5 letters and one telegram from Harold Macmillan; 4 letters from Sir Alec Douglas-Home; 4 hand-written, short (10-60 words) letters from Edward Heath; one hand-written, 50 word letter from James Callaghan. Hand-written signed letters, all over 100 words, from John Hare, Hubert Stanley, Nigel Lawson, George malcolm Thornton, Sally Oppenheim, Monty Modlyn, 2 from Barbara Brooke, and 2 from Richard Ryder. Hand-written signed notes, all under 50 words, from Norman St. John Stevas, Oswald Mosely, Charles Hill, and Francis Pym. Typed signed letters from Sir Toby Low, Julian Amery, Robert Rhodes James, Edward du Cann, Duncan Sandys, Nigel Fisher, George Brown, 2 from Harold Wilson's Press Secretary Joe Haines, 3 from William Whitelaw, 3 from Douglas Hurd, 2 from Hugh Dalton, and 8 from R.
