This extremely rare volume is protected by a handsome new linen clamshell case with a leather title block at spine. Two Volumes bound as one: Vol. I, 267 pp. Vol. II, 282 pp. This venerable piece of American literature has stood the test of time and use with dignity and strength. Brown cloth covers and spine are aged, with edge-wear. "Leather Stocking Tales Vol. 1." is on spine in faded gilt lettering. Corners rubbed threadbare. Spine is cocked. Previous owner's name in pencil on first free endpaper. Interior is foxed and occasionally soiled, crisp and tight overall. [Attributes: First Edition; Hard Cover]
