"First Edition". 7 7/8 inches x 10 1/4 in. x 2 1/4 in. (thick), numbered limitation statement; half-title; frontispiece bust of Lawrence; title-page; dedication page; synopsis; illustrations; preface by A. W. Lawrence. 672 pp., including appendixes & index. Fold-out plate of T. E. Lawrence manuscript page; four maps, numerous full-page illustrations (several are in color) of scenes, portraits by Kennington, John, Roberts, Sargent, W. Nicholson, Lamb, Rothenstein, R. M. Young, Colin Gill, Dobson, G. Spencer, Carline, Mestrovic, and some in-text drawings; most of the page fore-edges are unopened. Light brown leather spine and sides with the titling gilt on the spine, and maroon cloth over beveled boards, with top-edge stained maroon. The leather surface of the spine shows pitting and darkening to the leather surface, otherwise, a sound copy of the limited Doubleday Doran 1935 printing.
