Recent tan morocco, double morocco labels in terracotta and brown, decoration to spines, raised bands, single rule to boards, marbled endpapers, top edges gilt, others untrimmed. Illustrated throughout with frontispieces, plates, portraits, maps, etc. Some occasional light foxing to a few leaves otherwise an excellent set handsomely bound. Library edition, number 701. "There is no comprehensive history of America from the discovery to the present time." - Professor Hart (Harvard University) 1896. This scholarly work, written by various authors and edited by Lee, was designed to provide a comprehensive history, covering every aspect of North America: from the Discovery to the Constitution.
