A new and greatly improved ed., illustrated with portraits, plans, etc.Two volumes, octavo, contemporary half calf over marbled papered boards (rubbed), spines with raised bands, gilt ornament and lettering, an association copy, the front paste-downs with armorial bookplate of Sir A. Berkeley Milne Bart. (Sir Archibald Milne, 2nd Baronet, 1855-1938), titles with ownership inscription of SirD. Milne, dated 1842 (his grandfather Admiral Sir David Milne, 1763-1845), engraved frontispieces with portraits of Edward Pelham Brenton and William IV, pp 640, 738, plates, folding plans, both volumes internally clean and sound, with two loosely inserted manuscript copies of letters in the hand of Admiral Sir David Milne, both relating to naval matters, a good set with a strong Royal Navy association.
