Random House, New York, 1953 - Octavo. Original grey boards, photographic illustration to upper board, titles to spine and upper board in gilt on a puce ground, top edge stained black. With the dust jacket. Housed in a quarter tan morocco drop down box, titles to spine gilt. Boards lightly tanned but an excellent copy in a somewhat faded dust jacket with a couple of very minor nibbles to the upper panel. Illustrated with scenes from the stage play. First Edition, First Printing. With the signed presentation inscription to the front pastedown from the actress Deborah Kerr who created the role of the leading lady in the play's first production, "For Philip [Young] My best love and all my gratitude Deborah".
