1844 - Newcastle, 1844. Original colour. Dissected and laid on linen, 875 x 1155mm, folded into original blind-decorated, gilt-lettered morocco covers. Covers worn. A finely-coloured map of Newcastle by Thomas Oliver, a prominent classical architect based in Newcastle. He worked on the Royal Exchange that was demolished in the 1960s, and built Leazes Terrace.
